According to Independent , Paul Doyle, 53 years old from West Derby, was identified as the suspect who drove his car into a crowd on Water Street, Liverpool, on May 26, injuring 79 people.
Paul was arrested following the crash and is due to make his first appearance at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on 30 May.

According to multiple reports, Paul Doyle, a married business owner with three children, lived in a quiet neighborhood.
His LinkedIn profile shows he was a former Royal Marine commando in the 1990s before starting his own business and now works in cyber security. He also studied psychology and mathematics at a Russell Group university.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Paul was charged with two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of causing grievous bodily harm, two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of dangerous driving.
Among them, the crime of causing injury and the crime of intentionally causing serious injury involve children.
