According to leaked information, the design and battery capacity of the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not see many upgrades (Image: Mashable).
The tech news site Mashable SE Asia, citing numerous reports and leaked rumors, suggests that Samsung seems to be sticking with a 5,000 mAh battery. If this is true, the South Korean tech giant will mark its sixth consecutive year without any battery upgrades on the S series.
A positive point is that the S26 Ultra will likely support 65W fast charging, an improvement over the current 45W.
Not only in terms of battery capacity, but the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, according to rumors, will also disappoint many Samsung fans.
Previously, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sparked controversy due to its more rounded edges, which many compared to the iPhone, and the S26 Ultra is expected to go even further in this direction.
Leaked rumors suggest the device may have even more rounded corners, losing the square, masculine look that had become its trademark.
At one point, iPhone users even sought out square-shaped phone cases just to mimic the distinctive look of the Galaxy.
However, on tech forums like Phone Arena, many opinions now suggest that Samsung is gradually abandoning the elements that once defined the Ultra series, from the curved screen to the sharp edges.
If the company continues to pursue a safe and mainstream design, it risks losing its unique "essence" that has helped maintain a loyal fan base. However, this is just a rumor, and Samsung has not confirmed anything.
