Over the past few days, images and videos of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong have been shown on LED screens on buildings along the main streets of Hanoi to pay tribute to and commemorate the country's outstanding leader.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , since the morning of July 25th, the LED screen in front of Trang Tien Plaza (Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District) has been showing the documentary film "General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong – A steadfast, intelligent, and exemplary leader".
This location is in the heart of Hanoi, frequently visited by locals and tourists. Many people passing by stopped to view the images of the General Secretary.
After the documentary about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was shown, the screen displayed instructions for people to prepare documents when paying their respects to the General Secretary. In cases where people are unable to attend the ceremony in person, they can express their condolences to the General Secretary's family through the electronic condolence book on the VNeID application.
In front of the Ly Thai To monument (Hoan Kiem district), two rows of flags were solemnly flown at half-mast during the national mourning period.
At Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple (Hanoi), flags were also flown at half-mast to express condolences for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

On July 25th, the memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held according to the national funeral protocol at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
On the afternoon of July 25th, thousands of people flocked to the streets surrounding the National Funeral Home, waiting to pay their respects. At the intersection of Lo Duc Street and Nguyen Cong Tru Street, a line of people dressed in black silently and neatly formed a queue.
As evening approached, the line of people grew longer and longer. They were people from all over the country, including Hung Yen , Hanoi, Quang Tri, and Ho Chi Minh City, who came here to light incense and bid farewell to the General Secretary.

At the same time, on the morning of the same day, at Quan Su Pagoda (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), many monks and Buddhists held a ceremony to pray for the soul and dedicate the merits to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
The ceremony lasted about an hour and was conducted according to Buddhist rituals to express respect and gratitude for the contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the country. Many Buddhists wept during the memorial service, mourning the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Venerable Thich Thanh Tuan – Deputy Head of Quan Su Pagoda, Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Council and Head of Office I of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association – emotionally expressed: “General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is an outstanding leader, a great intellect, an exceptional cultural thinker, who has dedicated his entire life to the country.”
For the third consecutive day, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Di (93 years old, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) came to Quan Su Pagoda to chant prayers and pray for the deceased General Secretary, and she burst into tears while standing in front of the portrait of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
“Hearing the news of the General Secretary's passing, I am deeply saddened. He lived a life of integrity and virtue, helping many poor and suffering people. I only have a small, simple offering to bring to pay my respects and recite prayers for the General Secretary,” Mr. Dĩ expressed.
