On November 18, within the framework of a visit and working session at the Ia Puch beef cattle project (Ia Puch commune), Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan attended a working session between Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company ( Thaco Agri) and a working delegation from Idaho State (USA), along with representatives of the US Department of Agriculture and leading agricultural enterprises of the state.

Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan spoke at the meeting.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that Gia Lai always considers agriculture - especially large livestock farming, as a pillar of economic development. With the second largest natural area in the country, large land area, and suitable climate, Gia Lai has ideal conditions for large-scale agricultural development, applying high technology.
The Chairman of Gia Lai province hopes and strongly supports Idaho State enterprises to cooperate in investment, technology transfer, technical support and human resource training for Gia Lai province, including coordination with Thaco Agri and agricultural enterprises of the province.
“Gia Lai province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions regarding investment procedures, land, infrastructure and business environment; accompanying investors throughout the process of forming and implementing projects; ensuring security, safety and a stable production environment for businesses,” Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized.

Mr. Scott Bedke - Lieutenant Governor of Idaho, exchanging information.
Speaking at the meeting, Idaho Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke expressed his strong impression of Gia Lai's potential and the scale of the Ia Puch farm. He said Idaho is one of the states with majestic nature, abundant water resources and is a major agricultural center of the US, famous for its beef, dairy, food processing and agricultural materials industries. The similarities in agricultural strengths between the two localities create ideal conditions for extensive, effective and sustainable cooperation.
“I am honored to be in Gia Lai, a place with great potential for agricultural development, especially in the field of livestock. Through visiting Thaco Agri's beef farm, we appreciate the project's professionalism and scale. Idaho hopes to have the opportunity to cooperate with Gia Lai enterprises in livestock farming techniques, breeding and product consumption,” said Mr. Scott Bedke.
Within the framework of the working session, the delegation directly surveyed the Ia Puch Beef Farm project with a scale of 155 hectares, a design capacity of 25,000 heads and a rotation capacity of 100,000 heads/year, which is one of Thaco Agri's large-scale and modern livestock projects in the Central Highlands region.

With a total investment of more than VND 1,162 billion, the project not only brings direct economic value through commercial beef cattle farming but also creates positive spillover effects on society, environment and sustainable development for the locality.
In addition to the field survey, the US delegates were also provided with an overview of Gia Lai’s agricultural potential and Thaco Agri’s production and processing ecosystem. This helped both sides have a more comprehensive view of the potential for developing a common value chain, especially in the context of the Vietnamese livestock industry needing to expand its market, improve quality and standardize products towards export.
