On his Twitter account, Mr. Albanese posted photos and videos of himself drinking draft beer in Hanoi. The leader arrived in Hanoi this morning to begin his two-day official visit to Vietnam on June 3 and 4. The clip also recorded him clinking glasses and shouting "Let's go 1, 2, 3"
Along with the photos and videos, Mr. Albanese wrote: "Australia and Vietnam are on the rise. Sam Tran took me to a restaurant in Hanoi to enjoy some traditional Vietnamese dishes."

During the visit, the Australian Prime Minister is expected to meet with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and hold talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Australian Prime Minister will lay a wreath and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; and together with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, visit and exchange with the Australian U.20 women's football team and the Vietnam national women's team.
In an interview with the press ahead of the visit of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski said that this is a very important visit, not only an opportunity to look back on the past 50 years and look forward to the next 50 years of cooperation, but also the first visit of Prime Minister Albanese to Vietnam. This affirms the policy of Prime Minister Albanese's Government with a strong commitment to closer cooperation with the Southeast Asian region, especially Vietnam.
