After 9 months of construction, the project has initially taken shape on a modern scale, shortening the progress compared to the original plan. The center is identified as a national symbolic project, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), with the goal of becoming a world- class exhibition center, a place to connect culture - history - art, promoting cultural industry and tourism.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, localities and Vingroup to coordinate closely and drastically speed up the construction progress, basically complete the project in July 2025, and organize the inauguration on August 19, 2025. From August 28 to September 6, 2025, the Center will be the venue for the National Socio-Economic Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of National Day.
Vingroup is assigned to complete all main items and auxiliary works, services, and landscapes before June 30, 2025 to prepare for the exhibition in July. The Hanoi People's Committee must proactively invest and allocate funds to synchronously complete traffic infrastructure, electricity, water, fire prevention and fighting, and connections outside the Center.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is in charge of organizing cultural and artistic activities to kick off before the exhibition and urgently developing an entertainment industry project to submit to the Prime Minister. The Ministry is also responsible for coordinating with Vingroup and related parties to complete the Exhibition Organization Project according to the motto of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results.
Regarding the specific mechanisms for organizing exhibitions, the Prime Minister agreed in principle, but requested that corruption, negativity, and waste not occur. Specific issues were assigned to Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh for consideration and decision in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh will directly direct the preparation work. Agencies, units and Vingroup Corporation will implement the direction in the spirit of: "only discuss, do not discuss back", "promised must be done, committed must be implemented, implemented must have results, specific products".
The exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945/September 2, 2025) at the National Exhibition and Fair Center has the participation of all ministries, branches, localities nationwide and enterprises representing the state-owned and private enterprises.
According to the proposed plans, the exhibition floor is expected to be up to 260,000 m2 (130,000 m2 indoors and 130,000 m2 outdoors). In addition to the exhibits, the exhibition will also incorporate 3D mapping projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology applications, AI, etc.
