Myanmar 3-2 Laos
The Laos national football team played their final match in the group stage of the 2024 AFF Cup (ASEAN Cup) on the evening of December 18. Facing Myanmar at Thuwunna Stadium (Yangon), coach Ha Hyeok-jun's team conceded the first goal and was at a disadvantage. However, the efforts of the Lao players contributed to creating a dramatic final 20 minutes.
The visitors took a 2-1 lead at one point. However, with their stamina depleted, Laos could not hold on to their lead. Myanmar scored two late goals to win 3-2, keeping alive their hopes of advancing. Meanwhile, Laos were eliminated.
