In game 1, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team caused many surprises for their opponents. Against a tall team with many physical advantages, they used a smart play style with the versatile distribution ability of setter Dinh Van Duy.

Striker Ngoc Thuan is still the main scorer of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team. However, Van Duy also often fooled the opponent well to pass the ball to his opposite number Quoc Duy or the middle blockers like Duy Tuyen, Van Tien, and The Khai to score.

Thanks to that, Sport Center 3 was not at a disadvantage as predicted, at one point they even took the lead 13-11. But then Al Muharraq with the impressive height of stars like Alexandre Ferreira (2.02m), Jacob Link (1.97m) gradually regained the scoring position. The two teams fought each other intensely and Al Muharraq could only win 25-21 in the first set.

In the second game, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team still showed a positive performance. At one point, they were down 9-12, but coach Tran Dinh Tien's team still chased fiercely to lead 13-12.

Fans were treated to another tense chase and this time Sport Center 3 emerged victorious 25-23.

With high spirits, they continued to play well in the beginning of the third set when they quickly led 4-1. But at this time, the physical problem was exposed when the athletes showed signs of fatigue. The playing style of the Vietnamese men's volleyball team also clearly slowed down, causing them to lose their advantage. Al Muharraq had a series of consecutive points to win this set with a score of 25-23.

In game 4, the Bahrain representative continued to lead at many points. At one point, they created a large gap of 20-13. However, Ngoc Thuan, Quoc Du and their teammates fought back fiercely, scoring 5 consecutive points to shorten the score to 18-20.

Unfortunately, they could not maintain this scoring streak. Al Muharraq played calmly to win 25-22 in game 4, thereby ending the match with a score of 3-1.

This defeat puts Sport Center 3 in a difficult position in Group D. At 10:35 on May 13, they will face Al Rayyan of Qatar, who beat Al Muharraq 3-0.

To advance to the quarter-finals of the AVC Champions League, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team needs at least one win and that is certainly not an easy task.
