Thuan Bac effectively implements specialized programs in new rural construction

Implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, Thuan Bac district has strengthened the direction of relevant departments and communes to focus on surveying and evaluating existing potential products as a basis for proposing the province to recognize them as local OCOP products. Up to now, the district has developed 10 OCOP products, with 4 products achieving 4 stars and 6 products achieving 3 stars; in addition, every year, the district focuses on coordinating with functional departments to organize promotions and support production and business establishments and cooperatives to participate in displaying and introducing OCOP products at fairs and exhibitions in and outside the province, thanks to which many products are widely consumed in the market.

The invested traffic system creates conditions for socio -economic development of Thuan Bac district.

The program on environmental protection, food safety, and rural clean water supply has also recorded many positive results. Based on the guidance plan of the District People's Committee, the communes have included the content of building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful rural landscape in the socio-economic development task, contributing to protecting health and improving the quality of life of the people. Up to now, the waste collection rate has reached 100%; rural households with hygienic toilets has reached over 87%; the rate of households using clean water from centralized water supply works has reached over 99% and 100% of production and business establishments in the area have strictly complied with the content of the commitment to environmental protection. Along with that, in order to effectively implement the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions of the digital transformation program, towards building smart new rural areas, the district has clearly assigned tasks, associated with the responsibilities of the heads of agencies and units in performing the tasks. Up to now, the electronic one-stop system has been deployed to 100% of agencies, departments and branches from district to commune; at the same time, digital signatures are applied in sending and receiving documents through TD-Office and E-Office software. Schools, district medical centers, electricity companies, water supply and drainage companies, telecommunications and postal companies collect tuition fees, hospital fees, electricity bills, and pay allowances to meritorious people... all through non-cash payment methods.

Regarding the rural tourism development program, in addition to the Raglai people's Grave Abandonment Ceremony recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, the district has approved the Project to Support Community Tourism Development in Phuoc Chien Commune for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, with a budget of 7.2 billion VND and has strengthened the implementation of promoting the image, homeland, and people of Thuan Bac and initially attracting tourists to visit and experience.

At the same time, the district effectively implemented the directives of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security to improve the quality of security and order criteria. The local police force played a core role, actively coordinated with organizations and unions to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in protecting security and order; up to now, 6/6 communes have met criterion No. 19 on national defense and security in the National Criteria for New Rural Development. The program of transferring science and technology to serve production and building New Rural Development has also received attention and focus. With the support of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Science and Technology, many high-yield, high-quality plant varieties with good disease resistance and adaptation to climate change have been put into production. Some businesses and farmers use closed barn technology, biotechnology combined with environmental treatment to develop pig and chicken farming in the direction of concentrated industrial farms, creating high-quality livestock products with high economic value and ensuring food hygiene and safety, meeting market consumption needs.

Comrade Pham Trong Hung, Chairman of Thuan Bac District People's Committee, said: With the participation of the entire political system, the key contents of production development programs associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, shifting the rural economic structure, environmental sanitation, security and order... have achieved many positive results; the average of the whole district currently reaches 17.17 criteria/commune; of which, 3 communes: Cong Hai, Loi Hai, Bac Phong have been recognized as communes meeting NTM standards.
