According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, within the framework of an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, at noon on October 29, in London, General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation received General Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPB) Robert Griffiths.
At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam expressed his pleasure to meet again with General Secretary Robert Griffiths and the leaders of the Communist Party of Great Britain on the occasion of his official visit to the UK; and sincerely thanked the General Secretary and his comrades for coming to Vietnam to attend the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2, joining in the joyful and proud atmosphere of the Vietnamese people.
General Secretary To Lam said that this visit has contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two countries. Vietnam wishes to learn from the UK's experiences to help build major policies and orientations for national development in the new period.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain Robert Griffiths expressed his thanks to General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation for taking the time to receive him; thanked the Vietnamese friends for their warm welcome during his visit to attend the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; and highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements that Vietnam has achieved in recent years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .
Appreciating the long-standing traditional friendship between the two countries, General Secretary Robert Griffiths affirmed that the Communist Party of Great Britain always supports further strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the UK; and wishes to continue promoting cooperation and solidarity between the two Parties.
Informing about the situation in Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember and deeply appreciate the solidarity, support and valuable assistance that the Communists and progressive people in the UK have given to the Vietnamese people in the past struggle for independence and national reunification, as well as in the current cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland.
General Secretary To Lam stressed that the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to developing cooperative relations with the UK, and hopes that both sides will promote the achievements of cooperation that have been made, continue to promote the positive development momentum of bilateral relations, aiming to bring the cooperative relations between the two countries to new heights for the benefit of the two peoples and the development goals of each country, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and sustainable development in the region and the world.

To further promote the cooperative relationship between the two Parties, General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides consider the possibility of implementing theoretical exchange activities, sharing information on the situation and viewpoints of each Party on regional and world issues and topics of common interest such as protecting workers' rights or sustainable development; and coordinating more closely at political party forums, especially the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam respectfully invited General Secretary Robert Griffiths to visit Vietnam soon. The two sides closely coordinated and conveyed information on the situation and Vietnam's foreign messages to members of the Communist Party of Great Britain and the British people to create understanding and actively support Vietnam and the friendly relations between the two countries, thereby facilitating the enhancement of cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries.
General Secretary To Lam hopes that the Communist Party of Great Britain will support and coordinate in reviewing and collecting traces of President Ho Chi Minh during his time in the UK, including documents on the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain Robert Griffiths informed about the active coordination activities of the Communist Party of Great Britain and the UK-Vietnam Friendship Association to contribute to promoting the country and people of Vietnam in the host country, as well as organizing activities to preserve the cultural identity and Vietnamese language for the Vietnamese community in the UK; affirming that the Communist Party of Great Britain always supports further strengthening the Vietnam-UK relationship as well as the relationship between the two peoples.
The two leaders agreed to promote and strengthen cooperation and develop the traditional Vietnam-UK friendship for the long-term interests of the two peoples, for peace, security and sustainable development in the region and the world./.
