Promoting cooperation and investment relations with Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (China)

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of April 17, Comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City chaired a reception for the delegation of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center (Shenzhen University) and a number of enterprises led by Director of the Center Dao Nhat Dao.

Comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City received the delegation of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center (Shenzhen University).

Also attending were comrades: Le Trung Kien, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

The City Party Secretary hopes that your side will share knowledge and experience in developing and managing economic zones.

Welcoming the delegation to visit Hai Phong city, informing about the city's socio-economic situation, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized that with its favorable location in terms of geo-economics and geopolitics, Hai Phong has maintained a double-digit growth rate for many years. Currently, the city has Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone and 14 industrial parks with outstanding investment incentives, focusing on promoting and attracting investment in the direction of developing three economic pillars: industry - high technology, seaport - logistics, tourism - trade. Hai Phong is actively establishing 15 more industrial parks to be ready to attract new investors, including investors from China. Currently, in the city, there are nearly 400 projects of Chinese investors, with a total investment capital of 6.12 billion USD.

Members of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center (Shenzhen University) and several businesses attended the meeting.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee hopes that with a lot of experience in attracting investment and developing free trade zones, the other side will share knowledge and experience in developing and managing economic zones, especially in the fields of infrastructure, industry, seaports, logistics... At the same time, expand cooperation with universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Hai Phong city in training high-quality human resources.

Ms. Dao Nhat Dao, Director of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center (Shenzhen University), wishes to continue to explore investment in the city in industries and fields of mutual interest.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Dao Nhat Dao, Director of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center (Shenzhen University) expressed her good impression when visiting and working in Hai Phong. The delegation wished to learn about investment policies in Vietnam in general and Hai Phong city in particular. Ms. Dao Nhat Dao also highly appreciated the investment environment in Hai Phong and wished to continue to learn about investment in the city in industries and fields of mutual interest.
