Promoting innovation and creativity in teaching political theory

On the afternoon of October 31, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to organize the closing ceremony of the 2025 Political Theory Training Course for lecturers and teachers of political theory subjects; staff working in student affairs; and the Youth Union Executive Committee at universities, colleges, and intermediate schools in the national education system.

Dr. Doan Van Bau, Head of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, emphasized that after two days of urgent, serious and responsible work, the training course completed all the proposed content, ensuring practicality, updating, and meeting the requirements of innovation in political theory education in the current period.

With the participation of nearly 180 connecting points across the country, the course demonstrated the proactive, flexible and highly responsible spirit of the coordinating units. Despite technical interruptions, localities and units still actively resolved, ensured connectivity and maintained a high participation rate.

“The success of the course, first of all, comes from the close coordination between agencies, the support of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security , especially the attention and facilitation of provincial and municipal Party Committees, universities, colleges and intermediate schools nationwide,” Mr. Doan Van Bau affirmed.

Evaluating the results, Dr. Doan Van Bau said that the course was successfully organized under difficult conditions, meeting the needs of the team of lecturers and cadres working in political theory education. The program was implemented according to plan, with flexibility in adjusting the content to suit the reality. The results of the training course created a positive ripple effect, promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity in teaching political theory.

Frankly pointing out the limitations that need to be overcome, Mr. Doan Van Bau said that the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department will study and integrate the proposals and recommendations of the students to complete the consultation for the Secretariat to issue a new directive on political theory education in the coming time.

Previously, on October 30 and 31, students were introduced to the following topics: Continuing to perfect the theory of the Party's innovation path in the new development era; the team of lecturers and teachers teaching political theory with the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new context; innovating teaching and learning methods of Ho Chi Minh's ideology associated with the application of information technology; education on ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for students today.

In addition, students also listened to information topics on the strategic and important policies of the Politburo to contribute to the successful implementation of the two 100-year goals in the era of strong and prosperous development of the nation; President Ho Chi Minh's creative arguments on socialism and building socialism in Vietnam; identifying, fighting and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints to protect the Party's ideological foundation in the new context.
