The truth about fake eggs makes consumers worried

The Vietnam Poultry Association has just sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Public Security ; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Industry and Trade; Ministry of Science and Technology and press agencies about false information about fake chicken eggs.

The leader of the Vietnam Poultry Association said that recently, on a number of social networking sites, false information about the production of fake chicken eggs in our country has appeared and spread, causing confusion and anxiety among consumers and negatively affecting the production and business of domestic poultry eggs.

Fake eggs are false rumors that cause confusion among users.

According to the Vietnam Poultry Association, the purchase price of chicken eggs at the farm, which was lower than the cost price, at 1,400 - 1,500 VND/egg, has now dropped to only 1,200 - 1,300 VND/egg. Not only that, production and business establishments are facing many difficulties in selling their products. Many businesses and households raising chicken eggs are suffering heavy losses and are at risk of bankruptcy.

The Vietnam Poultry Association affirms that up to now, there is no scientific evidence in the world about the production of fake eggs that have the same characteristics as natural chicken eggs. In fact, in our country, in the past and present, no fake eggs have been discovered circulating on the market. Therefore, the information spread on social networks about the production of fake chicken eggs in the country is completely fabricated.

Faced with that situation, the Vietnam Poultry Association recommends that the authorities investigate, verify and strictly handle those who have spread false information about fake eggs, not only causing confusion and anxiety for consumers but also causing great damage to the livestock industry.

The Vietnam Poultry Association also requested that press agencies promptly refute false rumors, and at the same time increase propaganda to consumers about the nutritional value and benefits of poultry eggs for human health, contributing to stabilizing domestic livestock production.

Previously, from the beginning of May until now, on social networks TikTok and Facebook, many malicious images and video clips about fake eggs and fake egg technology have been circulating... Immediately after this information appeared, the market was immediately affected. Ms. Le Na, the owner of a laying hen farm in Vinh Phuc province, lamented: "Recently, there has been a lot of inaccurate information about fake eggs on the internet, making it even more difficult for farmers because the market is afraid and traders have stopped buying. The price of eggs has been very low for more than a year now, now down to only 1,500 VND per egg. This price is not enough to cover production costs, it is considered a loss of capital".
