Thuduc House has a new CEO, the old one continues to be an advisor

ANTD.VN - Ms. Tran Thi Lien, who has never held any position at Thuduc House, will hold the position of General Director of this enterprise, while the recently resigned General Director Nguyen Hai Long will become a senior advisor.

The Board of Directors of Thu Duc House Development Joint Stock Company (Thuduc House - stock code: TDH) has just announced the appointment of Ms. Tran Thi Lien as General Director to replace Mr. Nguyen Hai Long, who had previously resigned due to personal wishes.

Before being appointed to this position, Ms. Lien had never held any position at Thuduc House. She was introduced as having a Bachelor's degree in economics .

Thus, with this appointment, Ms. Lien will be the only member of the Executive Board of TDH.

Thuduc House's senior personnel have been constantly changing over the past few years.

Notably, for Mr. Nguyen Hai Long, after his resignation was approved, he continued to be appointed as Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Thu Duc House in the management and operation of the Company. Mr. Nguyen Hai Long's salary and current benefits were kept the same.

Thuduc House's upper echelons have been in constant flux since the end of 2021, after the General Director and a series of staff were arrested in a tax refund fraud case in the export of electronic components in the previous period. In 2022 alone, this enterprise changed the Chairman of the Board of Directors 3 times and in 2023, continued to replace the new Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Quang Nghia.

Before Mr. Nguyen Hai Long resigned, the former CEO of this company, Mr. Dam Manh Cuong, also resigned from this position because he "felt he did not meet the criteria of the new Board of Directors". Mr. Nguyen Hai Long had been in office for less than 7 months.

The business situation of this enterprise is also poor, Thuduc House is continuously forced to pay tax debts by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. In 2020 and 2021, the company suffered consecutive losses of nearly 310 billion and 890 billion VND.

In 2022, the company earned a mere VND8 billion in profit thanks to maximum cost reduction. However, in the first 9 months of 2023, Thuduc House continued to lose nearly VND4 billion, bringing the total accumulated loss to about VND755 billion.
