The Vietnamese eyewear market is growing rapidly but remains fragmented. According to a report by IMARC Group, the industry’s revenue is forecast to reach US$498.6 million in 2024, and maintain a compound annual growth rate of about 5.4% during the period 2025-2033.
However, most consumers still choose to buy glasses at small retail stores, with an unstandardized shopping experience, lack of professional eye measurement services and lack of trust in product quality.

This is the gap that JINS, the brand that has defined the standard of eyewear retail in Japan, sees an opportunity in. Many Vietnamese people tend to prioritize Japanese products, believing in their durability, precision and sophistication. Therefore, the appearance of JINS in Ho Chi Minh City is considered by the brand to be a timely move.
With over two decades of innovation in eyewear technology, JINS has the opportunity to become a growing brand that sets a new standard for shopping, where customers find Japanese quality combined with a fast, accurate and consistent experience.
“Open your eyes”
Founded in Tokyo, JINS is an eyewear brand that stands out for the Japanese spirit of creativity and meticulousness. With the vision of “Magnify Life”, JINS encourages people to “expand their horizons” not only through their eyes, but also through the way they look at the world with curiosity and exploration.

This philosophy is realized by JINS in a comprehensive shopping experience. Every process from eye measurement, frame selection, lens cutting to finishing is optimized and standardized by JINS.
“Customers coming to JINS can have their eyes measured digitally, choose frames, have their lenses fitted, and receive their glasses in 30 minutes. This speed is optimized to shorten waiting times while maintaining high accuracy, thanks to the brand’s strict quality management process,” said a JINS representative.
From a small store in Japan, JINS has grown into a chain of more than 800 stores globally, present in major markets such as the US, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), the Philippines and most recently, Mongolia.
Vietnam becomes the 8th market in the brand's internationalization journey, with the goal of bringing a new perspective on the eyewear experience - where technology and fashion intersect, helping each person express their own style and lifestyle.

Along with technology, JINS also makes its mark in popular culture. Collaborative collections with Dragon Ball, One Piece... turn each pair of glasses into a story.
These collaborations help JINS maintain the Japanese spirit while remaining youthful and relatable to Gen Z and Millennials… customer groups who increasingly see these accessories as a statement of personality.
Brand coverage in Vietnam
Following the overwhelming success of the experience booth at Saigon Centre, with more than 2,000 pre-orders, JINS announced plans to open its first three stores in Ho Chi Minh City in November.
JINS Saigon Centre (District 1) - the first flagship store, opened on November 8, with an area of 200m², located in the center of Le Loi. JINS Aeon Mall Tan Phu Celadon and JINS Aeon Mall Binh Tan, opened simultaneously on November 22, targeting family customers and young people in the inner city.
A JINS representative said the goal of opening three stores simultaneously is to quickly build brand recognition in Ho Chi Minh City, from there expanding to Hanoi and other major cities in the next phase.
Not only providing high-quality eyewear products, JINS Vietnam also promises to redefine the shopping experience, turning choosing glasses into a part of lifestyle.
JINS's entry comes as many Japanese brands are expanding their operations and asserting their position in the Vietnamese market with an orientation towards quality, minimalism and sustainability.
JINS hopes to continue that spirit in the eyewear industry, while opening up new competition in the fashion accessories retail market.
From the philosophy of "Magnify Life - Open your eyes together", JINS not only brings high quality glasses products but also brings the Japanese spirit to Vietnamese users.
