Standing Committee of Phu Tan District People's Committee dialogues with farmers

On May 28, at the People's Committee of Phu Tho commune, the Farmers' Association of Phu Tan district organized a dialogue conference between the Standing Committee of the District People's Committee and farmers in 2025.

Vice Chairman of Phu Tan District People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Bao chaired the conference; Vice Chairman of An Giang Farmers' Association Nguyen Minh Duc and leaders of departments, branches and organizations of the district attended the dialogue with 70 delegates representing farmers from 18 communes and towns. The dialogue was on the topic "Developing collective economy , building cooperatives and promoting and mobilizing farmers to implement the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality rice specialized areas".

Farmers were able to watch a video clip about the implementation of the 1 million hectare high-quality rice specialized area project; information on the project implementation results in the district. The district's professional sector also provided interesting content about the agricultural production situation in 2025 and the agricultural production plan for 2026.

In an open atmosphere, farmers expressed their thoughts and concerns regarding issues related to policies to support cooperatives and cooperatives; current prices and quality of fertilizers and pesticides. Regarding participation in the 1 million hectare high-quality rice specialized area project, farmers wish to receive support in cultivation techniques and increased support for seeds. In addition, there should be a stable output price policy so that people can feel secure in production; there should be effective solutions to collect pesticide packaging...

Farmers speak at conference

Farmers' opinions were directly answered by leaders of the District People's Committee and specialized departments, and additional useful information was provided, contributing to orienting solutions that bring economic efficiency to guide farmers to produce better in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Bao delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Phu Tan District Farmers’ Association said that through dialogue, the district leaders can grasp the legitimate aspirations and wishes of farmers and answer their questions and recommendations in the field of agricultural production. This is also an opportunity for farmers to exchange and share experiences in the agricultural production process.
