Building an honest supply chain - the foundation of sustainable development
Aiming to build a responsible supply chain, where each enterprise voluntarily controls quality, publicly discloses information and takes responsibility for its products, from March 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade and other departments and branches of Ho Chi Minh City launched the "Responsible Green Tick" program. Accordingly, qualified products will be labeled with the "Green Tick", symbolizing quality, trust and brand reputation.

When quality is made a commitment, the “Green Tick of Responsibility” becomes a sign that helps consumers identify trustworthy products, while supporting businesses in building their brands and increasing the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products. Any supplier that violates its commitment to a retailer is also violating the entire participating retail system. Any violation information will be widely shared with retailers, management agencies and consumers, ensuring transparency and shared responsibility.
After nearly two years of implementation, the "Responsible Green Tick" Program has achieved its goal of enhancing suppliers' responsibility for self-control of quality and meeting high requirements for product safety, contributing to the creation of a transparent, responsible and sustainable supply system.

Up to now, the program has had 12 retailers ( Saigon Co.op , Satra, AEON, Central Retail, MM Mega Market, Bach Hoa Xanh, WinCommerce, King Food Market, Lotte mart, GS25, Genshai, Famer Market) agreeing and pioneering in the role of leading suppliers in the system to participate in the Program. As of November 7, 2025, there are 387 suppliers in the distribution systems participating in the pilot management of 3,925 products, with the "Responsible Green Tick" logo on the products.
Many supermarket distribution systems such as Saigon Co.op, AEON, WinCommerce, King Food Mart,... have proactively set up separate display areas for "Green Tick" products, helping buyers easily access safe and responsible goods.

Spreading green responsibility
The "Responsible Green Tick" program has received close cooperation between the government, distribution system, suppliers and consumers.
To spread this spirit of value, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to launch "Responsible Green Tick Month", applicable from December 1 to 31, 2025, thereby expanding communication, proactively controlling quality in production and business activities and honoring pioneering enterprises in production chain transparency.
The implementation of “Responsible Green Tick Month” creates a space for businesses, consumers and retail systems to join hands to affirm the role of transparency in sustainable development. This contributes to building a modern agriculture , towards civilized urban areas, where each product reaching consumers is clearly controlled in terms of origin and quality.
“Responsible Green Tick” is therefore not simply an identification mark, but also a symbol of trust, business ethics and commitment to accompany a Vietnamese agricultural industry that is safer, more prestigious and more responsible to the community. It is also a solid step on the journey to build a modern urban agriculture.
