Progress of expressway projects through An Giang province

Accordingly, as of early November 2025, the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, component project 1 (through An Giang province) has disbursed nearly VND 2,500 billion/the capital plan allocated in 2025 is nearly VND 4,659 billion, reaching 52.8%. The total output of the 4 main construction packages reached 64.06% of the contract value.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Component 1 project has a total investment of VND 13,500 billion, spanning approximately 57 km with 33 bridges and 42 box culverts, divided into 4 main construction packages. According to Notice No. 383/TB-VPCP dated July 24, 2025 of the Government Office, the project is required to be completed by December 19, 2025.

For the North-South Eastern Expressway, Hau Giang - Ca Mau component project, phase 1, the section passing through An Giang province is 23.3 km long (of which the main route is 17.1 km long, the branch route is 6.2 km long), with a scale of 4 lanes, expected to be completed by the end of 2025, reaching 100% of the contract value of VND 4,184 billion.

As for the North-South Expressway in the West, the Lo Te - Rach Soi section is managed by the Ministry of Construction. The project was approved by the Ministry of Transport in Decision No. 1330/QD-BGTVT dated October 11, 2022. The investment project to upgrade the road surface of the Lo Te - Rach Soi route has a length of 51.5 km passing through Can Tho City and An Giang Province, with a scale of: maintaining the geometric elements according to the current status of the investment, compensating and strengthening the road surface, with a total investment of 750 billion VND, scheduled to be completed in September 2025.

Particularly, the Ho Chi Minh road through An Giang has so far handed over the site to the investor for 43.533 km/45.3 km, reaching 96%, with 1.69 km still stuck and 1 bridge (Canh Den bridge) not yet handed over the site, 6 medium voltage power line locations, 1 220 kV power line intersection location, 1 km of domestic water line not yet relocated. Regarding the project progress, the accumulated output up to October 27, 2025 is about 1,400.34/2,800.67 billion VND, reaching 50%.
