Comrade Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Child Protection and Care of Tien Giang province attended and delivered a launching speech.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, leaders of district-level People's Committees, representatives of organizations and individuals who have contributed to the Tien Giang Provincial Children's Support Fund, and more than 160 children in the province.
This year's Action Month for Children takes place from June 1 to 30 nationwide, with the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete targets for children".

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Child Protection and Care of Tien Giang Province, acknowledged the achievements in the work of caring for, educating and protecting children in the province in the past time; at the same time, pointed out the remaining shortcomings and limitations. In order to better care for, educate and protect children, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Child Protection and Care of Tien Giang Province called on the entire political system, together with the community and families, to pay attention to caring for, educating and protecting children.

At the launching ceremony, the Tien Giang Provincial Children's Fund received nearly 2 billion VND from units, organizations and individuals throughout the province. Of which, Tien Giang Lottery Company Limited contributed 1.5 billion VND.
On this occasion, the Tien Giang Provincial Children's Support Fund awarded 55 scholarships, 5 electric bicycles and 55 bicycles to 110 students in difficult circumstances who overcame difficulties to study well in the whole province; at the same time, awarded 2 "Encouraging Learning Shelters", worth 50 million VND each, to Le Thanh Tan, a student at Nguyen Tuan Viet Secondary School (Cai Lay District) and Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Anh, a student at Song Binh Secondary School (Cho Gao District).
