Tien Linh is currently gathering with his teammates in Ho Chi Minh City. He is one of three strikers summoned by coach Kim Sang-sik to prepare for the two matches against Nepal.

Looking forward to the journey at the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Tien Linh said: “In the short term, the goal is very clear, which is to win both matches against Nepal.
In November we will meet Laos again, the goal is nothing more than 3 points. And in March, when we face Malaysia at home, the whole team will try their best to win all 3 points, thereby keeping the hope of going further."

Striker Tien Linh: The whole team will have to do well in place of Xuan Son
Sharing about his personal goals, the striker born in 1997 expressed: "For a striker, scoring goals is always the goal in every match, not only at the club but also at the national team.
In the match against Laos in March at Binh Duong Stadium, I was unlucky not to score. In the next match against Nepal, I will try to perform better and bring goals for the Vietnamese team."

Evaluating the team's strength in this gathering, Tien Linh said that the current squad is an interesting combination of young players who are being called up for the first time and experienced players in the national team.
“This will be an important test for the team. I hope the whole team will complete their tasks well in the two matches against Nepal,” Tien Linh affirmed.
According to the plan, Tien Linh and his teammates will practice in Thu Dau Mot until October 8 before entering the two matches with Nepal, the first leg at 7:30 p.m. on October 9 at Go Dau Stadium and the second leg at 7:30 p.m. on October 14 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
