Receiving and placing Lenin statue in Vinh city, Nghe An

With the approval of the Central Party Secretariat and the proposal of Ulyanovsk province (Russian Federation), Nghe An province will receive and place the statue of VILenin at the roundabout between VILenin Avenue and Nguyen Phong Sac Street, Vinh city on the occasion of the 154th anniversary of VILenin's birth (April 22, 1870 - April 22, 2024).

The statue was cast in the Russian Federation by Ulyanovsk Province and transported to Vinh City. The statue weighs 4.5 tons, is 3.6 meters high, and is made of pure bronze.

Nghe An province has also completed the construction of the campus and pedestal for the statue. The campus is more than 1,000 ^{square meters} wide, the pedestal is 3 meters high, with the inscription in Russian and Vietnamese "VILENIN, 1870-1924" engraved on the front, and the inscription "Symbol of Vietnam-Russia friendship" engraved on the back. The campus for the statue is in the shape of an isosceles triangle (base 38 meters wide).

This is a project symbolizing the friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, and is also a cultural and artistic symbol, expressing the sacred feelings of the people of Nghe An and Ulyanovsk provinces for each other. The VILenin statue creates a beautiful space and is a highlight for the urban appearance and the central area of ​​Vinh city. The activity contributes to further connecting Nghe An and Ulyanovsk provinces in bilateral cooperation activities in the fields of investment, trade, health, education and training, tourism, etc.

Previously, in 2015, Nghe An province cooperated with Ulyanovsk province to build a statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Ulyanovsk. The area for the statue was arranged by Ulyanovsk province and given to Nghe An with an area of ​​over ^2,000m2 .

In 2017, the delegation of Nghe An province led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, coordinated with the government of Ulyanovsk province, Ulyanovsk city, Russian Federation and the Association of Vietnamese Solidarity in Ulyanovsk to inaugurate the statue of President Ho Chi Minh here.

The 5m high statue is made of pure copper, placed on a 3m high pedestal; made according to the original statue in Ho Chi Minh Square, Nghe An province. The location of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh is the central area of ​​Ulyanovsk city, right at the intersection, at the beginning of Ho Chi Minh Avenue and located in the complex of Ho Chi Minh Square, Ho Chi Minh High School.
