Realizing poverty reduction goals
To realize this goal, the Provincial Farmers' Association pays special attention to propaganda and mobilization work. With a variety of forms of information transmission, from directive documents to conferences and competitions, along with maximizing the role of grassroots association officials, the Party's policies and the State's laws have spread widely to each branch, club, savings group and even on social networks and internal newsletters.
In particular, the movement "For the poor - No one left behind" has promoted activities to support the elimination of temporary housing, replicate effective production models, attracting the participation of more than 150,000 members.
According to comrade Dao Thi Mai, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Association has resolutely implemented the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program for the period 2021-2025 through a system of directive documents, assigning specific targets and considering this an important measure to evaluate the effectiveness of operations. In parallel, the Movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" has been widely deployed, associated with the new rural construction program. Activities to support poverty reduction and temporary housing elimination have been carried out in a practical manner, spreading the spirit of mutual love among members.
Leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association visited the grapefruit growing model of farmers in Soi Ha village, Xuan Van commune (Yen Son).
The Association's continuous efforts have brought encouraging "sweet fruits". Notably, in the period of 2021-2024, the whole province had over 140,130 farming households achieving the title of excellent production and business at all levels. In addition, the Farmers' Support Fund effectively managed by the Association with a capital of over 40 billion VND has supported 929 households through 120 projects. The bank trust channel has also created conditions for more than 34,912 households to access capital up to 2,948.8 billion VND.
In particular, many models of sustainable poverty reduction support have been successfully implemented, typically the "Borrow cows, pay calves" program, giving away 65 H'Mong cows worth more than 1.5 billion VND to poor Mong households in Yen Son and Ham Yen. The H'Mong cow value chain linkage project in Chiem Hoa with a total budget of 3 billion VND has given 120 cows to 60 poor and newly escaped-poor households. To date, the whole province has rotated 974 cows, managed 2,132 cows, supported 5,295 households and helped 309 households escape poverty.
Xuan Quang Commune is one of two communes in Chiem Hoa District implementing the Project to Support the Development of Production Linked to the Value Chain of H'Mong Cows with 60 breeding cows. Comrade Hoang Thi Tuat, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Xuan Quang Commune affirmed: "The model has been bringing very positive results, creating sustainable livelihoods, helping poor households significantly improve their family economy. The project to support H'Mong cows, especially the project linking to the value chain, not only helps people have good breeds but also opens up a direction for stable commodity production, increasing income.
The family of Ms. Ma Thi Dot in Ngoan B village, Xuan Quang commune is one of 30 households that benefited from the cow breeding support program. After nearly a year, the two supported cows gave birth to a healthy calf. Ms. Dot emotionally shared: "Being supported with cows is really killing two birds with one stone. It not only creates more jobs, increases family income, but also provides a source of very good fertilizer for crops."
Improve capacity and product value for farmers
Not only providing capital and breeding support, Tuyen Quang Farmers' Association also pays special attention to improving production capacity and product value for farmers through active guidance on the application of science and technology. Vocational training has been invested in with 165 classes, attracting over 5,780 members to participate. From these classes, many people have boldly established cooperatives and production groups according to the value chain, creating high-quality products to meet market demand.

The Provincial Farmers' Association has promoted and promoted consumption through events such as orange week, OCOP booths, fairs and building a website connecting agricultural products. In particular, the Association has pioneered in supporting farmers to access digital technology by organizing over 1,150 digital transformation training courses, supporting 7,080 members to create accounts and put 115 products on e-commerce platforms, and honoring 9 typical agricultural products in 2024.
From the movement of farmers competing in good production and business, the whole province has had 376 households achieving the title of good farmers in production and business at the central level, 2,560 households at the provincial level. Of which, the Central Association has awarded the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" to 8 members, honored "Scientist of Farmers" to 2 members, awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 exemplary members...
Typical examples include Mr. Nguyen Cong Su with the famous Ngoc Thuy tea brand, achieving revenue of over 5 billion VND/year, honored as "Farmer Scientist" and "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer"; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sang with the herbal pig farming model with revenue of over 20 billion VND/year, honored as "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer".
In parallel with production support, the Association actively participates in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. By April 2025, the Association had mobilized contributions of labor and materials worth over 32 billion VND, helping 4,379 households build and repair houses. Mobilizing farmer members to support the "Farmer's Shelter" Fund with over 1.7 billion VND, supporting over 1.3 billion VND to build new and repair 38 houses for members. From 2021 to present, the Association has helped over 1,120 member households escape poverty.
With its efforts, the Farmers' Association of Tuyen Quang province has continued to affirm its position as a core force in the province's agricultural development, making an important contribution to the construction of new rural areas and improving the quality of life of its members.
