Previously, Ms. Coor Thi Ban's family in Ga'nil village, Hung Son commune was one of the poor households in the locality. Their life depended on a small field all year round, with unstable income, always lacking. In 2017, with the Women's Union's credit of borrowing 50 million VND from Tay Giang Social Policy Bank, Ms. Ban invested in an economic model with the hope of escaping poverty sustainably.
After attending technical training courses and learning from effective economic models, Ms. Ban boldly invested in raising breeding sows, chickens, and Muscovy ducks, combined with growing fruit trees, cinnamon trees, and clean vegetables. She also opened a milling service and supported people in the area to consume agricultural products. Up to now, from a poor household, Ms. Ban's family has had a stable income, becoming a typical example in the movement "Women help each other develop the economy".
While Ms. Ban succeeded with the livestock model, Alang Thi Mi, Ariing village, Hung Son commune chose to do business with her hometown's agricultural products. Through many times participating in fairs and promoting specialties, Ms. Mi realized that local products are favored by consumers.
Since then, she has boldly used policy loans to purchase and trade local agricultural products such as dried bamboo shoots, wild honey, codonopsis, hawthorn, clean vegetables, etc. After a period of effort, Ms. Mi has built a stable customer network, signed production contracts with farmers, and ensured product output. Not only helping herself have a stable job, Ms. Mi also encourages people to produce quality goods, increase competitiveness in the market, and increase income.

Policy loans are also a driving force for many women in border areas to boldly invest in products, apply information technology and social networks to expand the market. A typical example is Ms. Hoih Blui, Agrong village, Tay Giang commune, initially only posted photos introducing agricultural products and precious medicinal herbs, gradually she learned how to livestream, film clips introducing the production and purchasing process in the garden.
Thanks to her sincerity and friendliness, Ms. Blúi has created trust with customers, and her revenue has increased day by day. Ms. Blúi also introduces traditional Co Tu cuisine such as bamboo rice, buffalo croissant, smoked dried meat, rock snails cooked with dried cassava, dried lion fish... both creating income and contributing to preserving and promoting ethnic culture to tourists near and far.
Ms. Le Kim Vy, President of the Women's Union of Tay Giang commune, said that with preferential capital, the union has recently implemented many practical activities such as poverty reduction programs, supporting trees and seeds, organizing online sales days for women, thereby helping women become more confident in economic development. "From small capital, women have created big changes, not only improving family life but also contributing to enriching their homeland in the border area," Ms. Vy said.
