As someone who has spent more than 10 years teaching and researching President Ho Chi Minh, Master Bui Van Nhu said that up to this point, he no longer remembers how many times he has read Blue Lotus , but the emotions in him never change, each time he reads it, he cries. In particular, one of the passages that he is most fond of is the period when Uncle Ho taught at Duc Thanh School on his journey to the South under the name Nguyen Tat Thanh.

“In his interactions and teaching with children, teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh not only brings knowledge but also imparts life experiences and lessons on how to be a good person with closeness, love and affection,” shared Master Bui Van Nhu.

First published in 1982, after 43 years, Blue Lotus is still one of the best-selling books with more than 1 million copies published. According to Master Bui Van Nhu, the vitality of the work is not only because it is about the great leader of the nation but also because of the valuable lessons that parents can relate to and apply in raising and educating their children. In addition, the work is also an opportunity for today's young generation to better understand Uncle Ho - the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people.
Writer Son Tung, full name Bui Son Tung, was born in 1928 in a poor scholarly family in Nghe An . He participated in two wars of resistance to save the country as both a direct combatant and a war correspondent. In April 1971, he was seriously injured with 14 pieces of shrapnel in his body. From 1974 to 2010, with only two fingers left to hold a pen, he wrote dozens of novels, short story collections, and prose.
As the author of many works about President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese cultural and revolutionary celebrities, among which, when mentioning Son Tung, it is impossible not to mention the novel But Sen Xanh , which he wrote with all his heart and love for President Ho Chi Minh. On June 14, 2011, he was awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period by the President, becoming the fourth person of the Vietnam Writers Association to be honored with this title. Writer Son Tung passed away in 2021 in Hanoi.
