The seminar served as a forum for experts, policymakers, and businesses to exchange views on the opportunities and challenges in the digital transformation process, thereby contributing to helping regulatory agencies gain a more realistic perspective.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, Ho Chi Minh City has built digital infrastructure and data, a city data portal, a shared digital map, a management system on a digital platform, a public service portal serving citizens and businesses, an information portal for receiving and answering questions from citizens and businesses (Portal 1022), a digital transformation portal, and digital citizen applications…” to serve digital transformation.
"However, in this process, the 'digital' aspect, i.e., technological infrastructure, is often emphasized while the 'transformation' aspect, i.e., the application of new models and business forms, has not received adequate attention, so this work needs to be strengthened," Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa shared.

Contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's digital transformation, Ms. Le Nguyen Tra My, representing the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association, shared solutions for digital transformation in the field of intellectual property and advised on the application of blockchain technology to create "digital birth certificates" representing ownership rights of various assets, including intellectual property rights.
Delegates also expressed interest in the recently passed Law on Digital Technology Industry. Therefore, Mr. Vo Trung Tin, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association, highlighted some innovations that blockchain technology businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam need to be aware of in order to prepare thoroughly. He also expressed hope that government agencies would soon provide guidance and training sessions so that businesses can apply the regulations from this new law.
