On July 28, Russian airline Aeroflot announced that it had canceled 49 flights to and from Moscow due to an information system failure.

The announcement said that to avoid the situation of many passengers being crowded at the airport, the airline asked passengers to retrieve their checked luggage and leave the airport.

According to the announcement, the airline will temporarily not refund or exchange tickets at the airport. Passengers whose flights have been canceled can get a refund or exchange tickets within 10 days at the place of purchase.

Aeroflot said the problem was caused by a problem with its information system. The airline may be forced to adjust flight schedules, such as canceling or moving flights.

According to Aeroflot, experts are currently working to restore services.

Meanwhile, the Moscow Regional Traffic Control Office said it is monitoring the Aeroflot information system incident at Sheremetyevo airport to ensure passenger rights.

A hacker group called Silent Crow has admitted to carrying out the cyber attack that led to the downing of Aeroflot's information systems.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he was aware of the cyber attack and expressed concern about the risk of hackers targeting large companies that provide services to the public./.
