Delegates presented souvenir flags to units participating in the 2025 Binh Duong Province Traditional Boat Racing Tournament
The tournament was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City and related units, gathering 11 boat teams from districts and cities in the province and Dong Nai province. The teams competed in 02 events of 500m and 1,000m. Thereby attracting thousands of spectators and people in the area to watch and cheer for the competing teams.
Binh Duong Province Boat Race is a traditional tournament of the province that is maintained and organized annually. This is one of the major events in the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament, Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the boat racing activity is not only a simple sporting event, but also an opportunity to honor unique traditional cultural values, imbued with national identity, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people; demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, consensus and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life.
Through this activity, the province also aims to propagate and promote the image and achievements of socio-economic development; at the same time, encourage the movement of physical training and sports among the people, especially folk and traditional sports; contribute to preserving and promoting the good cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
After an exciting and exciting competition, the teams showed their strength with the spirit of solidarity, unity, high will, and "steady hands on the oars". As a result, in the 500m distance, the first place belonged to Thuan An City team; Dau Tieng District team won second place; Bach Dang team, Tan Uyen City won third place; the consolation prizes were: Thu Dau Mot City team; Thanh Phuoc team, Tan Uyen City and An Hoa team, Bien Hoa, Dong Nai.
In the 1,000m distance, the first place belongs to Thanh Phuoc team, Tan Uyen city; second place belongs to Thanh Hoi team, Tan Uyen city and third place belongs to Dau Tieng district team. The consolation prizes are: Thuan An city team, Bach Dang team, Tan Uyen city and Ben Cat city team.
