Speaking at the forum, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized: In recent years, Dong Nai has always prioritized green and sustainable development; especially focusing on converting existing industrial parks and new investments in the direction of ecology, greenness, and high technology.

Dong Nai highly appreciates the potential for cooperation with Kobe City, a locality with extensive experience in industrial infrastructure development and green growth orientation. On September 10, 2024, in Tokyo, the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province and the Kobe City Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding on green growth cooperation. Dong Nai expects the cooperation program to bring practical results in building green, smart industrial parks, promoting renewable energy, energy saving and sustainable development.

The forum aims to continue promoting investment in low-carbon technologies, products, systems and services, while creating opportunities for Japanese infrastructure investors and businesses to shape plans for industrial symbiosis and cleaner production associated with digital transformation and green transformation.
According to the provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai currently has 57 industrial parks, 1 economic zone and 1 high-tech zone. The province has attracted investors from 45 countries and territories, with more than 2,700 domestic and foreign projects. The industrial park planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, has been approved by the Prime Minister , determining that Dong Nai will have 81 industrial parks, 1 high-tech zone and 1 economic zone. This is a huge space for the province to form modern, synchronous industrial parks, meeting increasingly high environmental criteria and creating a foundation for a strong shift to a green, sustainable industrial model.

Provincial leaders requested agencies and enterprises to continue researching and reviewing opportunities to convert industrial parks into green and ecological models; identify feasible projects and promote the implementation of models that take advantage of the carbon credit mechanism (JCM). At the same time, enterprises need to share difficulties in mechanisms and policies; experience in developing low-carbon urban and industrial areas; and roadmap for converting to ecological industrial parks so that the province and relevant ministries and branches can have appropriate support solutions.
At the forum, provincial leaders, the Management Board of Industrial Parks - Economic Zones of Dong Nai province, along with Japanese experts and enterprises, discussed and exchanged many solutions to strengthen cooperation, towards building green industrial parks, promoting renewable energy, energy saving and transitioning to a circular and sustainable industry.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha affirmed: The discussions and opinions at the forum will be compiled, studied by the province and timely solutions will be proposed, or recommendations will be made to the Central Government to perfect related mechanisms and policies.

Dong Nai commits to accompany Japanese enterprises and partners in the process of implementing green and ecological industrial park models, helping to realize the goal of emission reduction, sustainable development and actively contributing to green growth of both localities, the Net zero goal of Dong Nai as well as Vietnam.
