Previously, as reported by PLVN Online, at around 11:52 p.m. on May 31, Nghe An General Hospital admitted patient TVL (born in 1972, residing in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city) for emergency treatment. After the doctor examined and prescribed, the patient's family was guided to the counter to complete the procedures.
At the check-in counter, nurse NTA received the documents and instructed the patient's family to wait outside according to regulations. However, the patient's family did not comply, continuously cursed, insulted, threatened, then reached over the counter and slapped nurse NTA in the face while she was performing her professional duties.
The strong slap knocked the glasses off, causing nurse NTA's left cheek to swell and hurt, along with symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, blurred vision and panic. She had to be hospitalized for treatment.
The incident only stopped when the security guard on duty intervened. After the incident, the hospital reported it to Nghi Phu Ward Police. At around 00:20 on June 1, Nghi Phu Ward Police arrived at the hospital to handle the incident, but the person who caused the incident had already left the scene.
On June 2, the police invited relevant parties to clarify the incident. The man who attacked the female medical staff was identified as Tran TA (born in 1993, residing in Hamlet 13, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City) - TA is the son of the patient who was brought to the emergency room at that time.
