Along with Tuan Chau International Passenger Port and Ha Long International Passenger Port, Ao Tien High-class Port has officially welcomed guests, creating a synchronous, modern, and classy port infrastructure serving Quang Ninh's sea and island tourism. At the same time, the new port also opens a gateway to the province's island routes, enhancing the experience for tourists.

Not only port infrastructure, but also island tourism accommodation facilities in the province have been invested in more diversely, meeting new trends. Dau Rong Resort is one of the outstanding tourism products, which was just put into operation in June. This is the first 5-star resort on Cai Chien Island with 42 high-quality bungalows, the result of Hai Ha district's efforts to attract investment, creating momentum to promote breakthrough development of island commune tourism. Since the beginning of 2023, Cai Chien commune has welcomed more than 40,000 tourists, an increase of 30% over the same period last year.

Sea and island tourism plays an important role in the economic development of Quang Ninh. The master plan for tourism development in Quang Ninh with a vision to 2030 has identified sea and island tourism as playing an important role and position in the development of the local smokeless industry. Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism Pham Ngoc Thuy said that opening new routes will awaken the tourism potential of Bai Tu Long Bay, help expand the tourism space, reduce the load on Ha Long Bay, and renew sea and island tourism products. The province will also implement the project "Overall management and development of sea and island tourism products in Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay - Van Don - Co To", in order to expand sea and island tourism to the east, reducing pressure on Ha Long Bay.
