According to the Decision, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province is responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; continuing to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on economy and environment to ensure sustainability in building new rural areas.
Tien Giang province has achieved 11/11 district-level units recognized as meeting the standards/completing the task of building new rural areas with 135/135 communes, reaching 100% of the communes in the province recognized as meeting new rural standards. Of which, more than 70 communes are recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, nearly 16 communes are recognized as meeting model new rural standards.

The system of cultural institutions in Tien Giang has been upgraded, repaired, and newly built, contributing to the successful implementation of cultural and artistic movements in rural areas, improving people's enjoyment. The quality of healthcare has changed significantly, with the rate of people participating in health insurance reaching over 94% in 2024.

Regarding the environment, the rate of rural household waste collection is over 90%; 100% of communes have bright - green - clean - beautiful landscapes and environments.
Tien Giang province strives to maintain and improve the NTM criteria by 2025; average income per capita in rural areas reaches 85 - 85.5 million VND/person/year; multidimensional poverty rate is below 0.74%; people participating in health insurance reaches 95% or more; waste collection and treatment in rural areas reaches 90% or more; 100% of people have access to clean and hygienic water.
