The Provincial Party Committee supervises the implementation of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU for the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee

Pursuant to Decision No. 1579-QD/TU dated July 12, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee on "supervision in the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in resource management, environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change response, ensuring water security in the period of 2022-2030", on the afternoon of September 17, the supervision delegation worked with the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee. Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, chaired. Also working were comrades: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, spoke at the meeting.

According to the report of the monitoring delegation, in the past time, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has led the Provincial People's Committee to direct, operate, deploy, organize and implement Resolution 10 in many forms. In particular, it has directed the development and promulgation of 2 sets of local technical regulations on the environment. Relocating 862 polluting production facilities interspersed in residential areas, not in accordance with urban planning, into industrial parks and industrial clusters.

Implement the roadmap to stop exploiting natural soil and hill rocks as land filling materials. During the period from October 2022 to June 2024, nearly 6,500 billion VND was spent to implement 42 public investment projects in the field of environmental protection and climate change response. To date, 9/18 goals of the Resolution have been completed. In addition to the achieved results, the monitoring delegation also pointed out a number of remaining problems and appropriate solutions.

Speaking at the working session, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has synchronously deployed solutions to implement Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU has created a clear change from the province to the localities, initially showing effectiveness in practice. He suggested that the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee continue to update and supplement new contents and new issues arising from practice; especially issues arising after storm No. 3 to concretize in the leadership and direction work in the coming time.

In particular, focus on forecasting and assessing the actual situation of the locality in the context of increasingly complex climate change. On that basis, review the system of indicators of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU as well as related plans and schemes to adjust or propose adjustments in a suitable and flexible manner. Thereby ensuring sustainable development goals.

He also commended and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and effectiveness in implementing the tasks of the members of the monitoring delegation according to Decision No. 1579-QD/TU dated July 12, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, he requested the members to continue to supplement and update data, complete the monitoring report to report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
