(CLO) The film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army depicts the heroic fighting spirit, life, emotions and very simple and familiar aspirations of soldiers.


On the afternoon of December 9, news from the Department of Cinema said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just decided to organize a Film Week to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Cinema to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province, Feature Film Joint Stock Company I, Vietnam Cinema Association Film Studio, People's Army Cinema, Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio Company Limited, Vietnam Animation Film Studio Joint Stock Company, Departments of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and film units to organize the Film Week to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).

The organization of the Film Week aims to propagate to cadres, soldiers and people about the process of formation, development and dedication over the 80 years of establishment of the Vietnam People's Army, affirming the talented and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.

Films screened during the Film Week in Cao Bang include: “Green Star in the Waves” produced by the People’s Army Cinema; “Red Dawn” produced by the Vietnam Cinema Association; and the documentary “Spirit Image” produced by the People’s Army Cinema.

Films screened during the Film Week nationwide include: the feature film “Peach, Pho and Piano” produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I in 2023; the documentary films “Linh Anh”, “Thep Trong Boi Dep” produced by People’s Army Cinema and “Nguyen Thi Dinh - Portrait of a Female General” produced by Central Scientific Documentary Film Studio Company Limited; the animated film “Vung Dat Xanh” produced by Vietnam Animation Film Studio Joint Stock Company.

The films screened during the Film Week not only reflect the heroic fighting spirit and loyalty to the Fatherland, but also deeply depict the lives, emotions and very simple and familiar aspirations of soldiers.

Within the framework of the film week, the Department of Cinema will organize exchanges between film crews and film artists with officers and soldiers of the Cao Bang Border Guard Command; with officers, teachers and students of the Cao Bang Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities...
