Organize propaganda for a green environment without trash

Speaking at the propaganda session, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hanh, Head of the Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Ninh province emphasized that environmental pollution leaves many serious consequences affecting human health, causing serious diseases, increasing the burden on health , affecting biodiversity, the balance of the ecosystem, climate change, and the decline and depletion of resources.

Therefore, environmental protection activities are the rights, obligations and responsibilities of all agencies, organizations, communities, households and individuals. Environmental protection is a condition, foundation, central and prerequisite factor for sustainable socio -economic development and is an inseparable basic content in the policies, planning and socio-economic development plans of Quang Ninh province.

Many people in Hong Ha ward brought trash to participate in the Vracbank program - Deposit trash and withdraw money of Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company.

In this program, the Department of Environmental Protection has propagated, distributed leaflets, and disseminated to a large number of people in Hong Ha ward, Ha Long city about the rights and responsibilities of people in environmental protection (EP), classifying domestic solid waste, and limiting the use of plastic waste.

Along with that, the Department also introduced models of waste recycling, products from recycled waste from plastic bottles, jars, nylon ropes into useful and environmentally friendly items including shopping baskets, storage boxes, brooms made by the Women's Union of Ha Long City and fertilizer products made from organic waste in Dong Trieu Town and Binh Lieu District.

Participating in the program, many people directly participated in the Vracbank model - Depositing trash and withdrawing money. This is a model with many advantages in reusing waste as production materials, minimizing waste to the environment, which has been effectively implemented by Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company in Uong Bi City for many years.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Nhieu, Secretary, Head of Zone 4, Hong Ha Ward, Ha Long City shared that through the program, it has contributed to raising awareness, action, and responsibility of each citizen, each household, and residential community to join hands in protecting the environment, building Ha Long City increasingly clean and beautiful.

Representative of Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company gave residents of area 4 recycling bins.

At the program, Mr. Vu Trong Hiet, Deputy General Director of Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company, said that through participating in the model in the past time, it has helped many households in Uong Bi City have an additional income after exchanging garbage. Over time, the Company will gradually expand to other localities in the province, thereby gradually forming awareness of garbage classification and collection, contributing to protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment, towards a circular economy, sustainable development according to the roadmap set by Quang Ninh province.

This morning, Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company collected more than 6 tons of recyclable waste of all kinds brought by over 400 people. Also at the program, Quang Ninh Cement and Construction Joint Stock Company presented to the people of Quarter 4, Hong Ha Ward, Ha Long City a recyclable waste bin worth 5 million VND.
