On the morning of August 21st, Hong Loan, the daughter of the late artist Vu Linh, posted on her personal page responding to the recent family controversies.

Ms. Hong Loan speaks out about the information regarding the alleged fraud and verbal abuse against her father, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh.

Ms. Hong Loan speaks out about the information regarding the alleged fraud and verbal abuse against her father, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh.

Specifically, a circulating clip contains an audio recording of a conversation between the late artist Vu Linh and playwright Van Tien. However, Ms. Loan claims that this content has been edited and manipulated and does not accurately reflect the truth.

In the recording, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh mentions the 64 million VND he gave to Hong Loan to pay for the land title registration for the house at 5 Doan Thi Diem Street, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The late artist said his daughter deceived him because, in reality, the paperwork procedures cost absolutely nothing.

Hong Loan explained that the money had been given to Ms. Sau (i.e., artist Hong Nhung) and a friend to handle the paperwork. She affirmed that she did not keep a single penny.

Meritorious Artist Vu Luan and Binh Tinh - two adopted children of Vu Linh - expressed their support for Hong Loan.

"Regarding the accusation that I stole money from my father, he reported that money was missing from his safe after he returned from singing. The next day, I went to the local police station to ask for their assistance in investigating. However, my father wouldn't let the officers in. I was so upset by this that I asked him if I could go live with my husband's family. My father misunderstood me, thinking I was immoral and was heartbroken."

"If I had stolen money and done such things, I wouldn't have called the police to investigate and get to the bottom of it. And even after my husband and I moved out, the thefts continued to happen," Hong Loan explained.

Furthermore, Hong Loan asserted that the information claiming she insulted her father or his close friend was fabricated. According to her, Meritorious Artist Vu Linh never used social media. The information he knew was all heard from others and therefore lacked authenticity.

Speaking to VietNamNet, Hong Loan said she felt pressured and exhausted from constantly facing the controversies of the past period. She hopes the matter will soon be closed so she can focus on her business and earn an income to support herself. " In this case, all family members, including my siblings, know that I did nothing wrong," she said.

Ms. Ni, Hong Loan's representative, stated that the video was posted with malicious intent, aiming to mislead and manipulate public opinion, thereby damaging the reputation of the late artist Vu Linh's daughter.

Previously, a video clip featuring the voice of Meritorious Artist Vu Linh went viral on social media. In the clip, Vu Linh recounts how his daughter Hong Loan is "naughty," frequently defrauding him of money and using unpleasant language that upsets him.

Meritorious Artist Vu Linh passed away on March 5th at his home after battling cancer, at the age of 66. He died without leaving a will, leading to disputes over inheritance among his relatives.
