Tomorrow night (December 21), "legend" Boney M. Liz Mitchell will perform in Da Lat City, people are free to come and watch.

Music legends from the 1970s and 1980s such as Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy and Samantha Fox will perform at the "Dalat Spring Concert" 2024 event in Da Lat City. Residents and tourists can come and watch completely free of charge.

On the afternoon of December 20, in Da Lat City ( Lam Dong Province), artists who are "music legends" such as Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy Band and Samantha Fox had a press conference before the "Dalat Spring Concert" event taking place on the evening of December 21 at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City.

Mr. Pham S - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee delivered a welcoming speech to the artists participating in "Dalat Spring Concert".

"Dalat Spring Concert" is the first annual international music project in Da Lat according to international format standards. The event is organized to spread the image of Da Lat as a Creative City in the field of music recognized by UNESCO and aims to build Da Lat as a world- class music destination, concretizing Da Lat's commitment when joining the network of creative cities in the field of music of UNESCO.

Music legends like Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy Band and Samantha Fox were present in Da Lat City and met the press.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong - Chairman of IB Group Vietnam and Production Director of "Dalat Spring Concert": "We have to prepare 3 independent equipment systems that meet the band's requirements. For this event, we have to prepare 6 mixers to operate the entire sound system to create the most realistic sound quality".

Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy, Samantha Fox are world music legends of the 1970s and 1980s and except for Samantha Fox, all of them have performed in Vietnam. However, this is the first time the artists have come to Da Lat to participate in "Dalat Spring Concert" - a music event held for the first time but has reached international standards and is held annually.

"Dalat Spring Concert" will be divided into 3 parts, corresponding to the performances of Boney M. Liz Mitchell, Joy and Samantha Fox. Notably, although Boney M and Liz Mitchell have performed in Vietnam twice, this time will bring a different experience when the legendary voice sings classic Christmas songs in the poetic space of Da Lat.

At the press conference, Samantha Fox shared before the "Dalat Spring Concert" performance: "I am very happy to be invited to perform in Vietnam for the first time. I have toured all over Asia but have never set foot in Vietnam...

So I am very excited and hope to come back many more times in the future to sing for you. I am really excited to meet everyone, experience the culture as well as the architecture and the wonderful cuisine of Vietnam. This time I came to Vietnam just to perform so I am planning to come back for longer vacations, hopefully next year. I promise to bring you a great show with songs you know from the 1980s to the present day."

The organizers of "Dalat Spring Concert" expect about 15,000 - 20,000 spectators to be able to join in the most famous Disco songs by artists who have been loved and idolized by audiences of many generations.

Regarding this music event, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has issued a document requesting the Provincial Police to proactively coordinate with relevant departments and units to deploy measures to ensure security and order for the "Dalat Spring Concert" program to take place successfully.
