The trip is also an opportunity for practical experience, creating a source of creativity for the artists.

People's Artist Trong Phuc shared: "This trip is an opportunity for artists in Ho Chi Minh City to affirm their profound social responsibility in community life. This is also an opportunity for us to directly contact historical lands, people and memories of war... These are all vivid and valuable materials for literary and artistic creation."

Meaningful gifts

The trip included meaningful gifts from the family of Mr. Tran Trong Tan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - who devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause and the responsible contributions of artists. Specifically, 50 gifts were sent to families of policy beneficiaries and war invalids; 30 gifts to people in difficult circumstances. This is a source of spiritual encouragement, contributing to spreading the love of art, nurturing the souls of soldiers on the border.

In particular, designer Viet Hung donated Ao Dai fabric to 60 female teachers in Kon Tum province - a gift imbued with national identity, honoring the beauty of highland women who are working day and night to spread knowledge on remote roads.

Ms. Vo Thi Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo Y Commune, Ngoc Hoi District, Kon Tum Province - expressed: "Teachers in the remote border area of Ngoc Hoi District never thought that one day they would be able to wear a new ao dai, a gift from a famous designer like Mr. Viet Hung. This is a gift of pride and motivation for those who silently sow knowledge in remote villages".

In this humanitarian journey, 2 scholarships worth 10 million VND each were awarded to Thao Tung Anh (grade 4, Bo Y commune) and Y Anh (grade 8, Bo Y Secondary School) - 2 "adopted children" of the Border Guard with especially difficult circumstances. These are seeds of knowledge cultivated with love and hope.

The HCM City Artists' Group also started the project "Improving the quality of living and studying" at the Ia Grai District Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities ( Gia Lai Province). The project aims to contribute to improving the living and studying conditions for ethnic minority students in the locality, demonstrating the affection and concern of the Party Committee, government and people of HCM City for the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

Author Nguyen Thu Phuong (Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association) confided: "Participating in social activities is not only a humanitarian act but also a way for artists to live with the breath of the country, to better understand the hardships, sacrifices and determination of the Vietnamese people. That is an invaluable life experience, an original source of inspiration to help create new works of art with depth and strong impact."

Aiming for valuable works

Musician Nguyen Quang Vinh, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Musicians Association, confided: "Setting foot on the borderlands, meeting teachers, soldiers and people here, I feel a silent but strong flow of love for the homeland, of silent sacrifice and steadfast belief in the future. From there, we have more valuable materials for composition."

People's Artist Phuong Loan was moved: "There are stories that if I didn't listen to them directly, I would never be able to fully imagine the hardships but also the pride of the people here. That is the precious material for artists like me to create for my roles". Author Ngoc Truc said: "Thank you for the trip for reminding me: Art is not only about creativity but also about a duty to the origin".

This journey back to the source does not stop at charity or commemorative activities, but is a catalyst for new creations, where historical memories are recreated through lyrics, verses, colors and melodies. That is also how today's artists continue and renew the revolutionary spirit through artistic creation, contributing to the vibrancy and spread of national values in the new era.

People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, hopes: "Life is a great motivation and inspiration for artistic creation for artists. Through this trip, I believe that each artist will carry in their hearts indelible images, and from there, profound works of art imbued with national spirit will be born.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders always consider accompanying artists on their journeys back to their roots an important part of Ho Chi Minh City's cultural development strategy. It is about creating, connecting, and sharing to enrich the identity of the city named after Uncle Ho."
