On September 24, at the invitation of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, Politburo member and President of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez arrived in Hanoi, starting a visit to Vietnam from September 24-28. On September 26, the President of the National Assembly of Cuba represented the leaders of the Party and State of Cuba to attend the ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of Cuban leader Fidel Castro's visit to the liberated zone of South Vietnam (September 1973 - September 2023) in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province. On the afternoon of September 27, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received President of the National Assembly of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
