General Secretary hopes Vietnam - Russia relations become a model

With the spirit of "remembering the source when drinking water, remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit", Vietnam is always grateful and deeply appreciative of the great and wholehearted help of Soviet and Russian experts.

The General Secretary assessed that historical works with the support of Soviet and Russian experts such as Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant, Thang Long Bridge, Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant... have become symbols of friendship between the two nations.

The Russian Federation has supported the training of nearly 70,000 Vietnamese officials over many generations, many of whom have held the highest leadership positions of the Party and State, and are core officials, contributing to laying the foundation for many key scientific and economic sectors and fields of Vietnam, even in the current period.

The General Secretary emphasized that the common agreements reached through recent high-level visits and contacts between the two countries are strategic orientations and guidelines to bring cooperation to a new stage of development, increasingly in-depth and substantive.

The General Secretary suggested that the two countries further promote economic integration, continue to effectively implement cooperation projects in traditional fields, conduct in-depth research on each other's markets to diversify existing trade portfolios and direct investment to new fields where the two countries have great potential and long-term needs.

The General Secretary hopes that the Vietnam-Russia relationship will become a model of how to turn a large region into a potential development area for all participating countries.

In that spirit, General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two countries promote cooperation in basic science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, which are the strengths of the Russian Federation and Vietnam, and identify them as a breakthrough to help the country develop, make breakthroughs and become rich in the new era.

General Secretary To Lam hopes that the young generations of the two countries will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, inherit the tradition of friendship and make good use of the opportunities that the history of the two countries brings to continue writing golden pages of history, breathing more vitality and lighting up a bright future for the Vietnam - Russian Federation relationship in the new era.

The General Secretary believes that, with its prestige and experience, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will increasingly consolidate its solid position in the political and social life of the Russian Federation, make important contributions to the development and prosperity of the Russian Federation, and continue to promote its important position in the international communist and workers' movement.
