The visit to four countries by General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation this time continues to be an important highlight in implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, proactiveness, activeness, comprehensive, deep and effective international integration of the 13th National Party Congress.
This is also a visit to Russia and friendly countries of the former Soviet Union, especially Central Asian and Caucasus countries that have traditionally had good relations with Vietnam, have supported and helped Vietnam in the past struggle to defend the Fatherland and in the current national construction and protection; an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its sincere and loyal feelings and desire to promote long-term, effective, substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
