Vietnam - Laos relations are a very special relationship, developing comprehensively in all fields. Economic and trade relations have recorded positive developments with bilateral trade turnover in the first 10 months of the year reaching nearly 2.5 billion USD, an increase of 50.4% compared to 2024, making Vietnam the third largest trade partner of Laos.

During meetings between the two countries' leaders, Vietnamese leaders always expressed strong and comprehensive support for the cause of building and developing Laos, believing that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to gain even greater new achievements and successfully implement Resolution 11 of the Party.

In addition to enhancing cooperation in politics, defense, and security, the two sides also strive to raise the level and create breakthroughs in economic cooperation, promote two-way trade turnover, and strengthen economic infrastructure connectivity.

Many investment projects of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos in the fields of energy, agriculture, telecommunications, infrastructure, etc. are bringing practical results. The two countries are coordinating to deploy strategic infrastructure projects, including connecting transport infrastructure, energy, etc.
