According to the New York Post, at a Christmas reception on December 14 (local time), President Donald Trump expressed great optimism about the prospects of the American economy , declaring that the country was about to enter an unprecedented industrial renaissance, directly driven by his tough tariff policies, with results expected to be visible within the next six months to a year.

Citing recent investment announcements, including Toyota's plan to invest $10 billion in the U.S., President Trump asserted that tariffs are forcing foreign corporations to bring their factories back to the U.S. He said manufacturing facilities are shifting from Germany, Japan, and Canada because they don't want to continue paying import tariffs when manufacturing overseas.
