Ukrainian President Makes Surprise Visit to Saudi Arabia

According to AP, Mr. Zelensky said in a Twitter status that his goal is to “strengthen bilateral relations and Ukraine's relations with the Arab world ." The Ukrainian president said he would meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and hold other bilateral talks.

He also touched on a number of other topics such as Russia's annexation of Crimea, a "formula" for peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and energy cooperation.

Zelensky said he would present his 10-point peace formula as he seeks to attract as many countries as possible. Zelensky will then travel to the G7 summit in Japan, according to Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council.

Earlier this week, the Ukrainian president returned from a three-day trip to Italy, the Vatican, Germany, France and the UK, where he sought to secure more arms supplies for the country. He has also visited Washington since the conflict began.
