For Toyota Yaris Cross HEV vehicles in the affected range equipped with panoramic glass roof, due to improper application of the roof glass primer during the manufacturing process, the adhesion between the roof glass assembly and the roof bracket surface may be reduced. If the vehicle continues to operate in this condition, in the worst case, the roof glass may separate from the bracket, increasing the risk of an accident for other road users.
TMV recommends that for the benefit and safety of themselves and their passengers, customers should quickly bring their vehicles to Toyota Service Centers nationwide for inspection/repair completely free of charge. The estimated inspection and repair time is about 1.7 - 3.7 hours/vehicle.
The program will be officially implemented by Toyota Vietnam from May 30, 2025 at all Toyota Warranty and Maintenance Centers nationwide. The list and number of vehicles in Vietnam affected are as follows:
For non-genuine imported vehicles subject to recall as announced by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), upon request from the vehicle owner, TMV will assist in contacting TMC to obtain information. After receiving confirmation and consent from TMC, Toyota warranty maintenance facilities will conduct free inspection/repair for customers.
In case customers want to check whether their vehicle is included in the list affected by this program, customers can contact Toyota Vietnam and Toyota warranty maintenance facilities nationwide for support.
