Bac Lieu City: Urban beautification peak from April 27 to April 30 holiday

Bac Lieu City will launch a peak campaign to carry out urban beautification and environmental sanitation, starting from April 27 and lasting until the April 30 holiday. This is one of the key activities to practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

According to Notice 286/TB-UBND issued by the People's Committee of Bac Lieu City on April 23, the city government calls for active participation from agencies, units, schools, businesses and all people living and working in the area. Specifically, the parties are requested to carry out environmental sanitation work at the headquarters of agencies, units, schools and at their households.

For construction works and projects under construction, the Notice requires investors and construction units to organize a general cleaning, tidy up materials and equipment, ensuring not only urban aesthetics but also safety for people participating in traffic during the upcoming holidays.

Investors in residential areas and resettlement areas are also responsible for organizing general cleaning in the management area, and at the same time arranging and renovating the facades of buildings, houses, including sidewalks to create a neat appearance.

To ensure the effectiveness of the campaign, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu City requested the Provincial Urban Service Center to increase the deployment of personnel and vehicles, ready to promptly collect the amount of waste generated from the general cleaning activities of agencies, units and households throughout the city.

This activity not only contributes to cleaning up the urban landscape but also demonstrates the community's sense of responsibility, joining hands to prepare to welcome the nation's great holiday with a solemn atmosphere and a civilized, clean living environment.

* On the same day, April 23, in parallel with the city's urban beautification plan, Mr. Huynh Chi Dung - Chairman of Ward 2 People's Committee (Bac Lieu City) also issued a Notice on the rearrangement of trading activities in Ward 2 market area. The goal of this arrangement is to ensure environmental sanitation and restore urban order in the market area.

Accordingly, the Ward 2 authorities officially notify residents and traders currently doing business and trading on the sidewalk opposite the Ward 2 market and households doing business on Nguyen Luong Bang street. These households are required to contact the Ward 2 Market Management Board directly to register and be arranged a stable and regulated trading location inside the main market area.

The time for people and traders to register is from the date of announcement (April 23, 2025) to April 25, 2025.
