Buon Ma Thuot City: Closing ceremony of xoang dance class for ethnic minority youth

On the morning of April 26, the Center for Communication - Culture - Sports of Buon Ma Thuot City held a closing ceremony for the class teaching xoang dance to ethnic minority youth in the area.

The class had the participation of more than 100 students, who were young people from Tan Lap, Tan Loi, Ea Tam, Thanh Nhat wards and Ea Tu, Cu Ebur, and Hoa Xuan communes.

During 9 sessions, the students were taught basic knowledge of xoang dances of the Ede ethnic group. With the dedicated and devoted teaching of the teachers and the enthusiastic participation, the students skillfully performed some xoang dances imbued with traditional cultural identity.

The class was organized to continue implementing Plan No. 65/KH-UBND, dated April 18, 2022 of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City on the implementation of the work of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the city for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Thereby helping the younger generation to increasingly raise awareness of preserving and promoting the culture of the nation.

It is known that over the past years, Buon Ma Thuot City has organized many cultural activities related to the preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the area, including classes teaching and learning gong playing and xoang dancing during the summer.
