Binh Tan Book Street is located on D5 Street in Hoa Lam Shangri-La High-Tech Medical Park, Binh Tri Dong B Ward, Binh Tan District.
This is one of the typical emulation projects of the Ho Chi Minh City publishing industry to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification and was inaugurated at the opening ceremony of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Binh Tan Book Street, the highlight of Book and Reading Culture Day 2025
Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that organizing the welcoming book fair and peak activities at Binh Tan Book Street is one of the highlights of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program is held from April 19 to May 2, with the peak from April 25 to April 27 at Binh Tan Book Street, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, Thu Duc City Book Street, Cu Chi District Book Space and simultaneously held in Thu Duc City and 21 districts with more than 300 activities and events.
Binh Tan Book Street was completed and put into use with an area of nearly 2,000m2 , including: 12 book stalls, book cafes; 2 reading areas; items serving the book street such as stage, event yard, welcome gate with an investment cost of nearly 5 billion VND.

Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Dung - Vice Chairwoman of Binh Tan District People's Committee - said that Binh Tan District with a population of nearly 800,000 people has a huge demand for reading.
"Over the years, the district has organized many reading promotion activities such as: opening libraries in schools, organizing book festivals, reading weeks, encouraging parents to read with their children, calling for book sharing from the community...
However, new forms are still needed to serve people's reading needs.
The book street system put into operation will best serve the needs of the people, contribute to improving people's knowledge, nurturing talents, and at the same time be a cultural address, a stopover for tourists when coming to Binh Tan district and one of the important projects marking the development of reading culture in Ho Chi Minh City."

Confiding in Tuoi Tre Online , reader Minh Nguyet (19 years old, Binh Tan district) said she knew about the opening ceremony of Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 and the inauguration of Binh Tan Book Street online, so she arranged time to visit.
"As a resident of Binh Tan for many years, I am very happy and curious about the new book street in my district. Normally, when I want to find newly released books or good, rare books, I have to go all the way to the city center to buy them. Now that there is a book street near my house, it is also convenient to go and buy books" - Nguyet happily said.
