The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced that candidates admitted to specialized and integrated 10th-grade classes must submit their enrollment documents to the schools they have been admitted to from June 25th to 29th. If candidates do not submit their enrollment documents, their names will be removed from the list of admitted students.
This school year, Ho Chi Minh City has 8,233 candidates registering for specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes. The total enrollment quota for specialized classes is 1,995. For integrated 10th-grade classes, the entire city has more than 1,403 registered candidates.

The Department of Education is expected to announce the cut-off scores for admission to regular 10th grade classes and the list of successful candidates for the 2024/2025 school year on July 10th .
The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City was held from June 6th to 7th, consisting of three subjects: Mathematics, Literature (120 minutes), and Foreign Language (90 minutes). Candidates applying to specialized or integrated classes took an additional exam of 150 minutes.
The admission score is the sum of the scores in the three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language, plus any priority points (if applicable). Candidates must take all three exams, not violate regulations, and all exam scores must be greater than 0. After the admission results are announced, candidates are not allowed to change their preferences.
Students from Thạnh An island commune, Cần Giờ district, are eligible for admission to grade 10 through a selection process.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City has over 116,000 students graduating from junior high school. Meanwhile, the total enrollment quota for public high schools is over 71,000.
