Ho Chi Minh City sends off the procession carrying Buddha's relics to Hanoi

According to Buddhist Affairs Online, on the afternoon of May 13, the Buddha's relics were brought to Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Indian monks.

After arriving at Noi Bai airport, the organizers will carry the Buddha's relics through the main roads in Hanoi such as Nhat Tan bridge, Vo Chi Cong, Dao Tan, Tran Nhan Tong, Le Duan, Kim Ma, Tran Binh Trong, Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace and place them at Quan Su pagoda.

According to plan, at 6:00 p.m. on May 13, the delegation will perform the procession of Buddha's relics through the central streets around Hoan Kiem Lake such as: Ly Thuong Kiet, Hang Bai, Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Ba Trieu... then return to Quan Su Pagoda.

The delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha was led by Most Venerable Thich Thanh Phong - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Permanent Vice President of the National Committee for Organizing the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak.

The delegation also included Most Venerable Thich Phuoc Nguyen - Deputy General Secretary, Chief of Office 2 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Permanent Deputy General Secretary of the National Committee for the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak; Most Venerable Thich Nhat Tu - Standing Member of the Executive Council, Permanent Deputy General Secretary of the National Committee for the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak; along with Venerables of the 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak Organizing Committee and accompanying Buddhists.

Earlier at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City leaders welcomed and saw off the delegation.

Representing Ho Chi Minh City were Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions...

Buddha's relics will be enshrined on the first floor of Quan Su Pagoda hall.

Monks, nuns, Buddhists and people worship from 7am to 9:30pm on May 14, 15 and 16.

Previously, Buddha's relics were enshrined at Thanh Tam Pagoda (HCMC) from May 2 to 8, and at Ba Den Mountain ( Tay Ninh Province) from May 8 to 13.

After Hanoi, Buddha's relics will be enshrined at Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam province) from May 17 to 21 for monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to worship.
