Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training guides the additional recruitment of grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year to high schools that have not yet met their enrollment quotas in region 1 (formerly Ho Chi Minh City) according to each type as follows:
Additional recruitment for 10th grade Japanese class
The admission subjects are students who have participated in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, Region 1, Ho Chi Minh City and have studied Japanese (first foreign language) at the secondary school level.
Admission requirements: Students who register for the Japanese language exam must have a score of 5.0 or higher and have not been admitted to high schools with Japanese language programs.
Admission method: Secondary schools that teach Japanese (foreign language 1) are responsible for reviewing and making a list of candidates who are eligible for additional admission and send it to the Quality Management Department, Department of Education and Training before 5:00 p.m. on August 4, 2025.
The Department of Education and Training will base on the list of qualified candidates to conduct the admission based on the Japanese language test scores in order of priority from high to low until the remaining Japanese language class quota at Marie Curie High School is met.
Additional recruitment for grade 10 integrated English program (according to Project 5695):
The subjects are students who participated in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in region 1 (formerly Ho Chi Minh City).
Admission requirements: Students who have passed other types of admission to high schools that teach integrated English programs (according to Project 5695) and wish to switch to studying integrated English programs (according to Project 5695).
Admission method: Based on the number of students who have passed the entrance exam and want to change their admission type, high schools will organize a survey to convert in order to fill the assigned quota.
Additional recruitment for grade 10 in mass high schools:
The subjects are students who have participated in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in the old Ho Chi Minh City area.
Admission requirements: Students who have not passed any of their admission wishes to public high schools and must have entrance exam scores of 3 subjects: Math + Literature + Foreign Language + priority and incentive points (if any) greater than or equal to the admission score of the first wish of the public high school they want to apply for.
The Department of Education and Training notes: Each student is only allowed to register for additional enrollment at 1 public high school that has not yet met its assigned enrollment quota and is not allowed to change schools after submitting the application for additional enrollment.
The additional enrollment quota for grade 10 in each high school is as follows:
Admission method: Students wishing to enroll additional students submit their application directly to the high school (according to the list attached in the appendix), including the score report of the 10th grade entrance exam issued by the middle school where the student registered to take the exam.
Receiving applications and registering the list on the system: The Admissions Council is responsible for receiving applications within the prescribed time, ensuring that candidates meet the conditions specified for each type.
The Department of Education and Training notes: High schools will use the exam management software provided by the Department of Education and Training to consider candidates who are eligible for additional admission. In case the number of admitted candidates exceeds the remaining quota due to many candidates having the same score, the school's Admissions Council will adjust the number of admitted candidates in the spirit that the number of admitted candidates does not exceed the assigned quota.
Approval of the list of additional admissions: All cases of candidates participating in additional admissions must be entered into the examination management system within the prescribed time. After completing the additional admissions, the school's admissions council will make a list of additional admitted students, print 2 sets (printed from the examination management software of the Department of Education and Training) and send them to the Department's Quality Management Department for approval of the list.
According to the Department of Education and Training, schools will not accept students who exceed their enrollment quota. Cases that exceed their enrollment quota will not be resolved. No additional candidates will be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on August 12. Candidates participating in the enrollment must have their names on the Department of Education and Training's exam management system. The admissions council is responsible for the additional enrollment conditions and ensures the validity of the application to the parents and the Department of Education and Training.
